Almost time for summer

Water from the ocean glints off a rock,

Travelers walk by in amazement they gawk,

Honey dew in the trees, bright clouds in the sky,

Children giggle and point as birds go by,

Busy calls on the streets, nice people wave,

Workers cross walk in the heat they slave,

Cars make noises, horns start to beep,

Jays through up their hands yelling “Let me cross the d*** street”,

Schoolers grab packs,

The packs hold their things,

They travel together in the mid summer heat,

Teachers yell “stop,

To a child that means go,

laughs are exchanged, conduct points flow,

Summer is almost here people, don’t forget the memo. -Ebony
